So, I’m getting married this weekend and in honour of the occasion I thought I’d give back to those who are watching. I’m going to try and post a page from Friday to Tuesday. Not sure if it’ll happen, I may miss a day but hopefully not.
Today begins The Crystal of Ang’Ba. I wrote this over a span of four days a year ago when my Grandmother died. It has some flaws to it, particularly the slow pace of the first few pages but back then I was still an acolyte in learning the craft of comic writing.
Pencils and inks by Johnny Whaam.
Colours by Henry Huang
Enjoy!

Panel 1
Close up of Henry Sinclair (the senior Knight Templar from Scottish Pride). He has a grave expression on his face.
Henry: I’ve summoned the council to Muchalls Castle to decide how we must face the threat to our Brotherhood.
Panel 2
Zoom out. Henry is standing up with both hands resting on a table. An ornately carved chair is behind him. He is wearing the formal Templar uniform. (Johnny, start coloring the cross worn on the uniform black.)
Henry: We’ve suspected the presence of a spy amidst us since the disappearance of the Troy’vidian scrolls.
Panel 3
Henry is walking around the table. Coming into view is another knight, William, an older man with a well groomed beard and long hair, though the top of his head is bald. In front of William is an ornately fashioned chalice.
Henry: The death of Robert McLaughlin confirmed our suspicions.
William: Then it was not an agent of his majesty’s court as we suspected Henry.
Henry: No William, tis a graver situation we face.
